After the family hiking guides for Central, Eastern and Western Switzerland, the Bergfloh series still lacked a guide for the mountains of Ticino. Eccolo! Here it is!
Whether on a weekend when the north is drowning in rain or during the summer holidays - a varied offer awaits between the Lukmanier Pass and the Mendrisiotto: lush green valleys, foaming mountain streams, simple mountain huts and adventurous trails! The mountain world in Ticino may be wilder than elsewhere: don't worry - here too there are post buses, cable cars and chair lifts that save you strenuous altitude meters and create time reserves for game breaks, discovery tours or swimming in the mountain lake. The authors reconcile the needs of young and old: beautiful views for the big ones, games and adventure for the little ones! Remo Kundert and Werner Hochrein present 27 one- to three-day tours, season them with background stories and garnish them with suggestions for games.
The easiest of the proposed walks are suitable for children aged 6 and over. At the other end of the spectrum are more challenging mountain treks, which only experienced mountain fleas should attempt!
