Outdoor Map Hossa 1:25,000 (2017)

The outdoor map Hossa 1:25 000 is printed on new synthetic material. The new sustainable outdoor cards for household use can be recognized by the yellow marking on the cover.

The double-sided map covers the newly established Hossa National Park and its surroundings. There has long been a wide range of hiking trails and services in the area as Hossa was a hiking area in the state for almost 40 years. There are rock paintings and dwellings from earlier millennia. With the opening of the national park, the routes and structures have been renovated and new ones have been built. These changes are visible on this updated map.

The material on the card is completely water resistant and can withstand almost unlimited folding, and it will not tear under normal card use. The characteristics are also retained during frost and heat. The print is clear and the colors are bright. The card has a pleasant feel and is lighter than on paper.

In addition to terrain details, e.g. huts, routes and other hiking services, as well as dining and accommodation services, are marked on the map. The map contains ten attractions or experiences in the area, which are described in a few sentences on the edge of the map in Finnish and English. On the edge of the map you will also find all hut coordinates in the area and information about the declinations. The scale of the map is best suited to Finnish terrain 1:25 000 (1 cm on the map = 250 m of terrain). The environment of the Hossa Nature Center is described on a more detailed scale of 1:15 000.
