South of the highest hiking trails in Switzerland

High peaks that can be climbed on easy routes and with normal hiking equipment - that is the dream of many hikers. Of the highest hiking peaks in the Swiss Alps - most of them located in Valais and Engadine - 30 particularly attractive peaks were selected for this book, all of which can be reached via easily accessible marked paths or at least trail tracks. Of course the conditions here are more alpine, the air is thinner, the weather less predictable, the trails a little more demanding. But this is the spice that makes for a satisfying day in beautiful mountain scenery. Most peaks are accessible as day hikes thanks to post buses and cable cars.
