GTA Part 2: Der Süden 8.A 2018

The second part of the Grande Traversata delle Alpi (GTA) runs from the Susa valley west of Turin to the Mediterranean Sea at Ventimiglia. The route runs in 34 daily stages (and numerous variants) through the Cottian, the lake and the Ligurian Alps, always on old paths. You can spend the night in the so-called Posti tappa, which is guided by the locals, and the hiker experiences these alpine valleys marked by migration from the perspective of the locals.
The two parts of the walking classic have been completely revised and updated for this 8th edition. They describe the route and provide all the information GTA hikers need. They also provide extensive background information about the regions that have been crossed.
