The book describes the course of the approximately 310 km long Camino de Santiago from Oviedo to Santiago de Compostela and the subsequent route to Cape Finisterre (89.5 km). The route over the mountains of Asturias and Galicia is considered by insiders to be a wonderful mix of pilgrims and mountain hikers. Although the route now has a good network of hostels and is fully marked, it retains the charm of an original way of St. James.
