Kalimnos (also written as Kalymnos or Calymnos) is an island of the Dodecanese archipelago, and a climbing destination of the Mediterranean with more than 2000 climbing routes. The Kalimnos walking map is water-resistant and tear-resistant. The map shows all hiking trails and rock climbing locations.
It features contour lines every 20m with hill hatching. The map shows unpaved roads in poor condition, with distances indicated on many local routes, plus locations of car parks and petrol stations. The stops of the local bus service are also indicated. Breeding paths distinguish between wide and well-defined or narrow and/or poorly defined routes. Symbols mark various facilities and points of interest. All place names are in both the Greek and Latin alphabets. The map has a 1 km UTM grid plus latitude/longitude margin marks and crosshairs at 1'.
On the reverse, the entire island is shown on a slightly simplified map at the same scale, designed to highlight recommended hiking trails, annotated with useful notes, plus a number of climbing locations. The map legend and all text are in English.
From the dangerous depths of sponge diving to the impressive climbing walls, there is something majestic about the barren island of Kalymnos and it invites you to push your limits.
Follow the paths of the map, and discover hidden beaches, prehistoric caves, unique rocks and a landscape littered with monuments.
