Veloland Switzerland Band 4 Alpine Panorama Route

The 483 km route crosses the northern foothills of the Alps over mountain passes and through gorges with its traditional, partly alpine settlements and cultures. The physically demanding route with beautiful views of the high mountains and the Mittelland starts in St. Margrethen, leads through Appenzellerland, Glarnerland, over the 1948 meter high Klausen Pass to Central Switzerland, over the Glaubenbielen Pass and through Entlebuch and Emmental to Thun, on to Fribourg and through Gruyère and the Vaud Alps to Aigle.
